These delicious and simple chocolate truffles are packed with collagen peptides, making them a quick and nutritious dessert option. With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, you'll have a satisfying treat in no time!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop SAP’s Original hydrolyzed collagen peptides

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (preferably 70% cacao or higher)

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (or butter)

  • 2 tablespoons almond butter (or peanut butter)

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts (for rolling, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

  2. Add the Collagen: Stir in the scoop of collagen peptides into the melted chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.

  3. Add Sweetener & Flavor: Add the almond butter, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.

  4. Chill the Mixture: Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until it’s firm enough to handle.

  5. Form Truffles: Once chilled, scoop out small amounts of the mixture (about 1 tablespoon) and roll them into balls using your hands.

  6. Coat the Truffles: Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts for extra flavor and texture.

  7. Chill Again: Return the truffles to the fridge to set for an additional 10-15 minutes.

  8. Serve: Enjoy these rich, collagen-boosting chocolate truffles straight from the fridge. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Tips:

  • Customize the Coating: Try rolling the truffles in a mix of cocoa powder and cinnamon for a warm, spiced flavor.

  • Make Them Vegan: Use dairy-free chocolate and substitute the honey with maple syrup or agave.

  • Storage: These truffles can last up to a week in the refrigerator, making them a great make-ahead treat.

These Quick Collagen Peptide Chocolate Truffles are not only a sweet indulgence but also a convenient way to boost your collagen intake while enjoying a satisfying dessert.
