A dog should consume one gram of protein for every pound of body weight per day. For example, a 40-pound dog should get 40 grams to build their body to its fullest potential. We recommend starting out with a small dose, and if your dog has no issues with our product, you can increase the dose, no different than changing dog foods. If you find that your dog has loose stool, you can always reduce the amount of product you are feeding your dog.

Step Above Proteins collagen protein from dogs is manufactured through partial hydrolysis of collagen rich pork skins. If your dog has allergies to pork (very rare), it is not recommended to feed this product to your dog.

Each of our batches of product may vary in color from pure white to off white/yellowish. The product is identical, but slight changes in the hydrolyzation process can result in varying color of the protein powder. We do not use any artificial coloring which is why the change in color can be apparent. It is 100% safe and will be the same great product.
